Plymouth Speedway
Plymouth Motor Speedway was another step in the right direction!
I learned a lot, got more comfortable in the car, and gained confidence every lap.
After transponder issues forced me to qualify by myself, I put my head down and gave it everything.
In Heat Race #1 I started on the pole. Fell back 2 spots and while running 3rd before got spun by Ryan Newman on lap 6. It wasn’t the finish I wanted, but having one of NASCAR’s best chasing me gave me a lot of confidence in both the car and myself.
That put me starting 22nd out of 24 for the feature. I worked my way up to 15th before getting run over, but kept going, drove it to the checkered flag, and finished 18th.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support, got pictures, and had me sign flags, shirts, and even a few body parts! Thanks to my pit crew for giving me a fast car and Dive Rescue International - Public Safety and MEG & Associates for your support on and off the track to allow me to chase this dream of racing!
Every lap in this car is making me better.
