Kenyon Midget Debut at Salem Speedway

What a weekend to remember! Got an amazing opportunity to drive a United States Speed Association Kenyon Midget for JK Racing, LLC! Amazing car, amazing equipment and amazing coaching!

Friday practice Day 1 was me learning how to use a clutch, turn left and go fast. I ended up 4th fastest on the day! (80+ mph)

Saturday morning I switched back to go karting and had a decent morning in my 206 at Whiteland Raceway Park. We tried a few different things and they didn’t stick. I was P3 in my heat and finished P4 in the final

race.

Saturday afternoon in the midget I had not been in a group of more than 4-5 cars on the track at the same time, so my nerves were a little high. I got up to 8th fastest in the 2nd practice session. The nerves did get the best of me during qualifying and it was too far back to make a big difference for placement in the heat race. A total of 3 passes during the races in my 1st time ever driving / racing this car…I was pleased! It was a hard track to pass on. I finished P12.

I had 1 goal this weekend: Complete every lap. Goal complete! My speed was faster every time except qualifying—Another goal. My 1st grandstand crowd didn’t disappoint.

Excited to see what happens next!

NCMP Night Race

My 1st New Castle night race was a blast! A different kind of “Friday Night Lights” that I am used to for practice. We made some adjustments on my New Gen Motorsport karts on Saturday and I got faster each session! Bad luck again and got caught-up in a crash in the 206 during the pre-final losing my front bumper and I pulled off. Had to start P26 out of 29 for the final. During the final once again there was a crash by other drivers on the first lap which slowed me down. I ended up P15 out of 29! In my KA pre-final I finished P8 out of P10. In the final I finished P6 out of 10 just missing a top 5 award.

Thanks to The Bradford’s for the best hospitality, words of wisdom and encouragement. Thanks to Aaron for coming out to help guide me; as well as Jamie and Eli Fox. Donnie and Lincoln for help off and on the track and for transportation yet again of my karts. Thanks to my Newgen teammates for pushing me forward and Stay Reel Media for some great on-track shots.

It was a great weekend with lots of forward progress. Onto more exciting things ahead!

Road America

Spent the last three days at Road America in Wisconsin, and what an incredible experience it was! I can’t thank my friends enough for hauling my karts up and making this race possible. It wasn’t on the schedule, but their generosity made it a reality.

A huge shoutout to A-Maxx Racing for welcoming me into their family this weekend. They provided me with everything I needed to get faster, pushing me with lots of changes and challenges that helped me improve. The weekend was a blast, filled with learning, and I can’t wait to get back at it.

Lastly, thank you to my parents and sister for always supporting me, through both the highs and lows. And to all my friends, family, and teammates who checked in throughout the weekend—I felt your support every step of the way!
